Job Summary
The Lunchroom Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe orderly and positive environment for students during role involves supervising student behavior ensuring adherence to school rules assisting with cleanup and fostering a supportive Lunchroom Supervisor collaborates with staff to address student needs resolve conflicts and report incidents contributing to a smooth and enjoyable lunchtime experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

Supervision and Safety:
- Monitor students in the lunchroom to ensure safety.
- Enforce lunchtime expectations including behavior cleanliness and safe practices.
- Intervene in minor conflicts guiding students toward peaceful resolutions.
- Respond to emergencies such as accidents or injuries providing basic first aid if needed and reporting to appropriate staff.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary lunchroom environment by assisting with setup cleanup and waste management.
- Microwave and warm-up student lunches daily for students in grades K-8.
Student Support
- Assist K-5 students with warming food (microwave) utensils or other needs particularly younger children.
- Promote positive behavior encouraging good table manners and respect for others.
- Report concerns about student behavior health or safety to teachers administrators or relevant staff.
Collaboration
- Work with lunchroom volunteers staff teachers and administrators to ensure a consistent and positive lunchtime experience.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to address student needs and maintain a positive environment.
Additional Duties
- Set up tables arrange seating and ensure the lunchroom is organized before and after meals.
- Manage supplies such as napkins and utensils to ensure availability.
- Participate in professional development including meetings and training on school policies and procedures.
- Identify and report safety sanitary or fire hazards to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

Must support the Mission Statement of Our Lady Star of the Sea.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage student behavior calmly and effectively.
Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures (training provided if needed).
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods move around the lunchroom and assist with cleanup.
Clear a background check and complete safe environment training

Salary
$21/hour with a guarantee of 1170 offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skill and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.
