Job Description
Overview
AmTrust Financial Services a fast-growing commercial insurance company is looking for a Director FP&A responsible for supporting the Claims organization. The right candidate will bring strong leadership and a balance of analytical abilities creativity and execution to the table.
This position will report directly to the VP of Claims Strategic Planning & Analytics and will support the Claims organization by providing thoughtful reporting and analytics to communicate the progress of the organization and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of analysts supporting our various lines of business and business functions across claims. This team is responsible for all Claims & Litigation expense management & oversight continuous maintenance and monitoring of staffing models budgeting & forecasting and expense reporting & analysis. They provide valuable insight enabling data-driven decision making in all aspects of running the organization.
- Build strong relationships with claims & litigation leaders to become a trusted partner who understands the business and can influence decisions
- Partner with our Corporate FP&A and Controllers departments on company-wide deliverables and initiatives
- Coordinate blending data from multiple sources for unified reporting and look to identify cross-functional opportunities to either simplify or improve current processes
- Proficiency evaluating very large data sets with an ability to spot trends and present business insights to a variety of audiences
- Create consolidated executive-level reporting
- Support ad-hoc requests
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 7-10 years financial or operational analytical experience
- 3 years leadership experience
- Experience with Office particularly Excel Power BI and SharePoint.
- Experience using SQL with BI software suites
- Prior experience in reporting and data visualization solutions consulting or business analysis
- Ability to operate under limited supervision and play an active role in cross-functional work
Preferred:
- Property Casualty Insurance industry experience
- Experience with financial reporting solutions Oracle Cloud ERP Hyperion
