Job Description

Position: Senior Strategic Joint Planner
Location: Peterson SFB CO
Clearance: TS with SCI
Travel: 15%
TTC is currently accepting applications for a Senior Strategic Joint Planner. Selected Candidates will provide subject matter expertise in joint planning SAP-level planning contingency planning COOP and Field Command (FLDCOM) strategic planning to support SpOCs mission. This role leads operational planning teams conducts research and drafts plans to align SpOC efforts with DoD Department of the Air Force (DAF) and USSF policies. This is an on-site position located at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs CO.

This position is contingent upon contract award
Responsibilities:
  • Lead development and review of joint contingency COOP and FLDCOM strategic plans including Mission Delta standup.
  • Conduct research and mission analysis for 1-3 documents per month preparing draft plans and coordination packages per applicable DoD and DAF guidance.
  • Analyze Combatant Command (CCMD) and USSF plans to ensure mission alignment and equitable representation (1-3 documents/month).
  • Provide recommendations for plan refinement and best courses of action (1-2 documents/month).
  • Support pre-development working groups track suspenses and prepare General Officer/Senior Executive Service-level signature packages.
  • Contribute to deliverables (e.g. Monthly Status Reports Trip Reports) with accurate technical input.
  • Adhere to security protocols for classified material and protect CUI/PII.
  • Support temporary duty (TDY) travel (e.g. Vandenberg SFB Washington D.C.) and prepare trip reports within 5 days
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Space Weapons School (WIC) graduate highly desired.
  • AOC/CSpOC experience desired with space warfighter integration experience desired.
  • Masters degree highly preferred
Required Skills Abilities and Competencies:
  • Bachelors degree in strategic studies political science or related field
  • 7 years of experience in DoD joint planning contingency planning or COOP with at least 3 years in space operations or USSF contexts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SAP-level planning (for SAP-eligible position).
  • Proficiency in DoD and DAF planning processes and guidance.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills for drafting plans and technical assessments.
  • Completed DoD AT Level I and IAA Cyber Awareness training.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; one position requires SAP eligibility
