Job Description:
Responsibilities begin August 2025 and will include obtaining and maintaining clinical placements for community Level I and Level II Fieldwork experiences continued development of the MSOT fieldwork program and providing student instruction in their areas of clinical expertise.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with the Program Director to set a vision for establishing the Level 1 and 2 fieldwork experiences.
Possess the experience ambition and ability to secure clinical partners.
Assist the Director in ensuring the initial successful accreditation of the program.
Demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the ACOTE fieldwork standards and accreditation process.
Organize and manage complex data related to meeting ACOTE fieldwork standards and the accreditation process.
Provide instruction in occupational therapy.
Successful candidate will work strategically with diverse colleagues students parents and community members.
Engage in personal scholarship and scholarship with students (where possible).
Advise students academically spiritually and socially.
Participate in departmental activities and governance.
Serve on university faculty committees/working groups and perform other normal faculty duties.
Contribute to preparing students for their post graduate career and finding who they are called to be.
Required Qualifications
Qualified applicants must have a minimum of a masters level degree in occupational therapy.
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the field of occupational therapy.
Candidates must be initially certified as an occupational therapist licensed according to CA state regulation or eligible for licensure in the State of CA.
Demonstrated ability to manage and organize data.
A thorough commitment to Christian higher education with a desire to work in a Christian university while supporting the institutions religious and educational goals.
Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. In addition faculty agree to live in agreement with PLNUs Community Life Covenant.

Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Earned terminal degree (i.e. post-professional OTD PhD EdD).
Experience:
Evidence of a commitment to excellence in graduate teaching with a preference for candidates who have demonstrated effectiveness in teaching students from diverse backgrounds.
Evidence of excellence in teaching and fieldwork education.
Previous experience supervising occupational therapy students.
Ability to establish and maintain clinical partners in traditional and non-traditional settings.
