The Opportunity
The Chief Data & Analytics Officer is a strategic senior role which owns the vision and strategy for QBEs Data and Analytics function in AUSPAC leading in application of emerging data technologies in collaboration with our global data and analytics community.
Your New Role
The Chief Data & Analytics Officer is a strategic senior role which owns the vision and strategy for QBEs Data and Analytics function in AUSPAC leading in application of emerging data technologies in collaboration with our global data and analytics community.
Reporting to QBEs Chief Enterprise Operations Officer as Chief Data & Analytics Officer you will collaborate with senior leaders across the local and global business defining the data & analytics strategy for the division building organisational support for QBEs strategic use of data and support informed decision-making.
In this key management role you will lead and further develop a high performing Data Analytics and AI team building on the foundational work of the past two years and fostering an inclusive culture and a passion for the role of data in delivering exceptional outcomes for QBEs customers.
Key accountabilities include:
Set and drive the strategic vision and roadmap for Data & Analytics in AUSPAC aligning with business priorities and the ongoing Modernisation agenda.
Ensure a clear line of sight from investment in data activities to business and customer value delivered.
Demonstrate thought leadership and deliver new value from data in application of emerging technologies such as Generative AI.
Lead and nurture a high-performing Data & Analytics team fostering a culture of diversity engagement and collaboration with well-defined career paths and development opportunities.
Champion the strategic role of Data & Analytics securing executive and stakeholder buy-in to support the Data & Analytics strategy.
Govern data management strategies and practices supporting executive accountability in meeting compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Represent AUSPAC in external industry and governance forums
Manage and hold third-party providers accountable ensuring effective relationships and performance oversight leveraging deep technical domain knowledge in data.
Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across the global enterprise driving data-driven decision-makingand data driven innovation.
About you
This role is ideal for an experienced leader from the data or analytics functions globally. Domain knowledge in data or analytics is crucial to success in the role to effectively represent the function at the highest levels.
We will be seeking to appoint a leader who has meaningfully delivered strategy uplift and change.
