Operations Manager Mobile Engineering Services
What this job involves:
This position oversees the management supervision and operation of Mobile Engineering Services at assigned facilities. You will ensure safe efficient and cost-effective delivery of engineering and maintenance operations to customers within your sub-region while maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting property management teams.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Managing engineering team resources to ensure optimal labor allocation and maintain appropriate daily staffing levels
- Supervising and developing qualified mobile engineering staff through training programs and skill development initiatives
- Creating and implementing documented maintenance plans that include preventive and repair procedures for all properties
- Identifying safety hazards and ensuring remediation to maintain safe working environments
- Collaborating with Project Management on HVAC capital work plans including infrastructure upgrades and equipment replacements
- Providing support to Property Manager and Project Manager teams to ensure seamless engineering service delivery
- Monitoring and reporting on performance metrics budget performance service costs and labor utilization
Desired experience and technical skills
Requirements:
- Valid state drivers license
- Universal CFC refrigerant recovery certification
- Minimum of ten (10) years of technical and supervisory experience in building operational engineering
- Strong background in packaged HVAC equipment repair maintenance system design and application
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer-based energy management systems (EMS) computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred:
- Experience with engineering labor unions
- Background in regulatory compliance related to building equipment and systems
- Experience with documenting and maintaining property records
- Knowledge of industry purchasing practices for maintenance parts and materials
