ELL (English Language Learners) TeacherJob Summary:The ELL Teacher provides specialized instruction to English Language Learners (ELLs) to support their acquisition of English language skills in reading writing speaking and listening. The teacher collaborates with classroom teachers administrators and families to ensure that ELL students succeed academically while acquiring English Responsibilities:Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with ELL standards and students English proficiency levels (e.g. WIDA or local/state standards).Provide direct instruction in English language development in individual small group and/or whole class and adapt instructional materials to meet the diverse linguistic and academic needs of ELL students language proficiency and academic progress using formal and informal with general education teachers to support sheltered instruction and co-teaching document and report student progress to stakeholders including parents and school in team meetings parent-teacher conferences and professional development related to ELL strategies and compliance with local state and federal guidelines for English Language LearnersFoster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that values cultural :Bachelors degree in Education or related fieldValid teaching license with ESL/ELL/ESOL endorsement (preferred)Experience working with English learners in a K8 settingKnowledge of second language acquisition theories and culturally responsive teachingFamiliarity with assessment tools like WIDA ACCESSStrong communication collaboration and organizational skillsFamiliarity with technology tools for language learning (e.g Lexia)
