About the role
The National Internal Communications Lead is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of internal communication campaigns that drive awareness engagement and connection to Calvarys organisational objectives Strategic Intent and Mission.
Reporting to the National Manager Internal Communications this role will contribute to the annual internal communications calendar and will support national level initiatives and programs across the organisation.
Working across Calvarys hospital home care residential aged care retirement living and virtual care portfolios the role is responsible for supporting a wide range of internal stakeholders to deliver communications activities change management and projects aligned to operational plans and strategy.
The position creates content for various internal communications channels with a focus on building of a highly engaged and connected workforce of 18000 employees who are delivering best-practice health aged care and home care services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver internal communication campaigns through cross-collaboration with national teams the Customer and Communication team and Executive leaders.
- Manage and curate content for the My Calvary App to effectively communicate with staff across the organisation.
- Provide strategic communication advice to support organisational change employee engagement and national projects.
- Create edit and manage content across internal channels such as the intranet EDMs My Calvary and supporting collateral.
- Ensure consistency in messaging to reflect Calvarys mission values and purpose while enhancing employee engagement.
- Use consistent key messaging to reinforce organisational strategy culture and identity.
- Incorporate employee feedback into communication strategies and adjust content as needed.
- Collaborate within a matrix structure and with project communication leads to plan execute and evaluate communication activities against objectives.
What you bring
- Relevant qualifications in Communications Journalism or a related field.
- Extensive senior-level internal communications experience in complex organisations.
- Proven expertise in project and change management for internal communications initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment to meet organisational goals.
- In-depth knowledge of communication tools and platforms including EDMs video intranet and social media.
- Experience with SharePoint intranet management including content creation site structure and usage analytics.
- Strong analytical research and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative and results-focused solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to Calvarys mission and values.
Desirable
- Experience in health care in government and / or private sectors
- Highly developed Microsoft O365 skills
- Videography and photography skills
- Design experience using platforms such as Canva Adobe Express VistaCreate
