Job Description
Design develop and maintain software applications for mail sorting and processing equipment.
Implement real-time processing and control systems for high-speed mechanical systems.
Program OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and imaging modules to support mailpiece identification and tracking.
Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software.
Utilize Linux-based environments including Raspbian and Raspberry Pi for embedded software development.
Participate in architecture decisions and contribute to the evolution of our software infrastructure.
Provide mentorship to junior developers within the expanding software team.
Conduct testing debugging and performance tuning to ensure optimal system reliability and speed.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
7 years of professional software development experience preferably in industrial or automation environments.
Strong programming skills in Visual Basic C and C#.
Proven experience developing software for real-time processing systems.
Experience with OCR/Imaging technologies and integration with mechanical equipment.
Proficiency with Linux environments especially Raspbian and Raspberry Pi development.
Solid understanding of software-hardware integration and embedded system programming.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Strong communication and documentation abilities.
