Job Summary:
The Health System Solutions Designer role is responsible for designing and delivering integrated digital solutions across provincial health programs. This role bridges program needs data standards and platform capabilities to create coherent and scalable designs. The role involves collaboration with clinical product and technical teams to shape solutions that align with broader system goals.
Location: Toronto Ontario Canada
Responsibilities:
- Lead the solution design process for high-impact health modernization projects ensuring architectural alignment with enterprise goals and system strategy.
- Translate policy and clinical needs into implementable technical designs that harmonize with data and platform standards.
- Collaborate with product owners vendors and internal delivery teams to co-design and validate integration strategies across multiple systems.
- Act as a bridge between project delivery and long-term sustainability-balancing timelines with system coherence.
- Contribute to the evolution of internal design patterns solution review practices and platform reuse.
- Ensure alignment with semantic standards and support consistent application across programs.
- Create Solution Design Documents (SDDs) to capture system behavior integration and support requirements.
- Define FHIR Interface Specifications & Message Structures to ensure compliance with health data standards.
- Develop Integration Flow Diagrams to illustrate system communication across trust boundaries.
- Create Terminology Mapping Sheets to translate clinical meaning into machine-readable codes.
- Provide Vendor Design Review Feedback & Solution Alignment Notes to ensure third-party solutions align with requirements.
- Develop Reusable Design Pattern Templates to promote repeatable scalable solutions.
- Create Data Payload Examples & Validation Outputs to enable testing and validation.
- Maintain Delivery Risk Logs & Technical Issue Registers to support project planning and architecture governance.
- Document Collaboration Logs with Architects and Product Teams to support semantic integrity.
