What you will do-
Perform testing on medical device products and components using automated semi-automated and manual methods. Follow test request protocols and reports through mainly written but also verbally on the results of the tests. Evaluate data understand and articulate attributes of product and component performance.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Under minimal supervision perform assigned development and verification tests on new and existing products per written/verbal instructions
- Set up and perform tests and experiments of varying complexity and scope which comply with Stryker requirements appropriate FDA requirements and engineering standards
- Will extract and process test data/findings into both formal written and verbal reports which comply with Stryker requirements
- Will submit periodic reports on assigned topics to appropriate personnel
- Will be required to provide guidance to contract support new hires and interns
- Will interact with engineering and production project teams
- Will be required to comply with documentation procedures and maintain test laboratory housekeeping standards to the highest level
What you need-
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Technical Sciences or Engineering - preferred
- Ability to operate small hand tools (e.g. pliers screwdrivers hammer wrenches etc.) small power tools and common test/inspection equipment
- Intermediate math and writing skills
- Electrical/mechanical problem-solving skills
- Functional knowledge of mechanical systems or devices
- Demonstrated mechanical/electrical problem-solving skills
- 5 years related technical experience beneficial
