Job Description
Do you have experience with a printing press Are you looking for a new career at an established industry leading company Are you available for 2nd or 3rd shift
This positions primary purpose is to operate and maintain a printing press.
POSITION Printing Press Operator.
JOB LOCATION Manitowoc WI.
STARTING DATE Immediate.
EMPLOYMENT TERM Temp-to-hire or possibly direct-hire.
EMPLOYMENT TYPE This is a full-time position.
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) 2nd shift-2pm-10pm or 3rd shift-10pm-6am.
STARTING PAY $18/hour or more based on experience.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior manufacturing and forklift experience preferred.
Prior quality/inspecting experience preferred.
Ability to detect differences between colors brightness and shades.
Previous experience with a printing press.
JOB DUTIES -
Prepare and operate press for printing.
Install plates and rollers.
Determine ink and stock needed for production.
Routine maintenance to include clean and lubricate press.
Remove printed material from press.
Follow all QC procedures to ensure product will meet customer expectations.
Blend and tests ink and solvents for conformance to specification.
Controls operation of auxiliary equipment.
Directs activities of press assistant.
Keeps daily materials usage reports.
Monitors press to ensure press is operating at expected run rates.
Setup press within expected set up times.
Complete production orders at or below expected scrap rates.
Comply with all AIB regulations.
Cleaning and general housekeeping of work area.
Understand and follow all safety rules and procedures.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
