Job Description

Status: Permanent part time 30hours a week

For 60 years the Scottish Wildlife Trust has worked with its members partners and supporters in pursuit of its vision of healthy resilient ecosystems across Scotlands land and seas. The Trust successfully champions the cause of wildlife through policy and campaigning work demonstrates best practice through practical conservation and innovative partnerships and inspires people to take positive action through its education and engagement activities. It also manages a network of over 100 wildlife reserves across Scotland and is a member of the UK-wide Wildlife Trusts movement.

The Role

As a member of our Finance department you will;

  • Provide organisation- wide support to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters in compliance with Trust policies.
  • Demonstrate and champion effective internal financial controls throughout the organisation.
  • Process purchase and sales invoices.
  • Support and assist Finance Manager in preparation of month-end and year- end accounts.
  • Manage BACS payment run.

The candidate will ideally;

  • Have at least one year of relevant accounting experience.
  • Hold an HNC/HND in relevant subjects.
  • Have a positive attitude toward the objectives and values of The Scottish Wildlife Trust.
