Senior Python Developer (8-11 Years Experience)

Looking for Strong Python Application Developers Not Data Engineers
Location - Mountain View CA (Hybrid).
Were hiring aseasoned Python software developerwho is passionate about building production-grade applications. This isnota role for data engineers or data scientists we are specifically looking forexperienced Python application developerswho have builtscalable backend servicescomplex business logic androbust distributed systemsusing Python.
Youll be joining a high-impact team thats focused on financial inclusion and digital transformation. Our platform adapts to local markets and handles mission-critical operations. Youll play a key role in shaping architecture implementing core features mentoring team members and ensuring code quality across the board.

Key Responsibilities

Translate product requirements into technical specifications and user stories
Architect and develop scalable secure and resilient backend services
Maintain and evolve a Python-based microservices architecture
Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle including planning design coding testing deployment and support
Perform code reviews and enforce high standards of software craftsmanship
Lead initiatives to modernize the codebase and migrate legacy systems (PHP/C) to Python
Mentor junior developers and help shape the teams engineering culture
Own the end-to-end delivery of features with a DevOps mindset

Required Qualifications

10 years of hands-on experience in Pythonapplication development (not scripting or analytics)
Proficiency in designing and developingREST APIsbackground job processorsevent-driven architectures andasynchronous systems(e.g. using Celery asyncio etc.)
Strong experience inobject-oriented programmingdesign patterns andmodular software design
Experience withunit testingintegration testing andCI/CD pipelines
Knowledge ofrelational (PostgreSQL MySQL)andNoSQL databases(DynamoDB Redis)
Proficiency withAWS cloud servicesincludingEKSLambdaRDSAuroraS3 etc.
Experience withDockerKubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform Helm etc.)
Understanding ofdistributed systems fault tolerance and high availability
Strong debugging profiling and performance tuning skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

Experience migrating legacy systems from PHP or C to Python
Exposure toevent sourcingCQRS ordomain-driven design
Knowledge ofpayment processing systemsorfinancial platforms
Experience with message queues such as Kafka RabbitMQ or AWS SQS/SNS
Familiarity withobservability toolslike Prometheus Grafana Datadog etc.
