Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
o Develop and implement ETL solutions
o Design and build DataStage jobs to extract transform and load data from various sources into target data warehouses or data marts.
o Data Warehousing and Data Integration: Focus on data warehousing and data integration projects ensuring data consistency and availability for business intelligence and analytics.
o Performance Tuning: Optimize the performance of ETL processes to meet business requirements and ensure efficient data processing.
o SDLC and Agile Methodologies: Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and potentially work within agile frameworks.
o Collaboration: Work with business analysts data architects and other developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
o Production Support: May be involved in providing support for existing DataStage jobs in production including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Skills and Experience:
o IBM Infosphere DataStage: Strong proficiency in using DataStage for ETL development.
o SQL and Databases: Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases like Oracle.
o ETL Concepts: Deep understanding of ETL concepts data warehousing principles and data integration best practices.
o UNIX Linux: Experience with UNIX Linux operating systems including scripting (e.g. Unix Shell Scripting).
o Data Modelling: Familiarity with data modelling concepts and techniques.
o Agile and DevOps: Experience working in agile environments and potentially with DevOps practices.
Additional Technical Skills:
8 years of strong design development experience using C# .NET Core Web API Angular/React MVC
3 years of strong development experience using SQL Server/Oracle/Sybase complex procedures and SSIS
Resourcing experience in financial domain
Experience working with DevOps source code management tools like Git Sun Jira CUD Jenkins
Experience working with Agile/Scrum/RAD development methodology
Nice to have container-based technologies like Docker Kubernetes OpenShift cloud platform and familiar with big-data and cloud-based technologies
Nice to have experience in setting application in Linux/Windows IIS/Nginx
Nice to have working experience with APAC Regulatory Reporting
Strong technical analytical skills to solve complex problems
Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
