Job Description
In the renewable energy sector specialising in wind energy projects we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QHSE Coordinator to join our small office team in Canberra. As the QHSE Coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring that our operations comply with quality health safety and environmental standards. You will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of continuous improvement and support the management of QHSE systems and processes. This role will be suited to an individual with a wide skill set who is motivated to develop relationships across a national footprint and can develop solid virtual relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement QHSE policies and procedures
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with standards
- Assist with Tool box talks and reporting
- Investigate incidents or accidents and recommend corrective actions
- Provide training on QHSE practices to employees
- Manage Return to Work cases
- Monitor performance metrics related to quality health safety and environmental initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement efforts
Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of quality management systems
- Strong understanding of health safety and environmental regulations
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 ISO 14001 OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QHSE management software.
- Knowledge of the Return to Work process
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in a similar role within the construction or renewable energy industry
Qualifications:
- Cert IV or higher in health & safety or related field
- Return to Work Coordinator trained
