Job Description

Overview

This role requires in-office attendance on the following days:

  • Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday
  • Friday is flexible and can be worked at your discretion.

The Tax Manager will primarily be responsible for the management of the Companys accounting for income taxes and tax compliance. Responsibilities will include working with businesses service providers and other tax professionals in carrying out the duties required. Collaborate with financial management within the Company and third-party service providers. Must be analytically strong with excellent and direct communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage the corporate year end and quarter close process for income taxes (ASC 740) including ASC(formerly FIN 48) documentation and analysis
Preparation and/or review of tax disclosures in all SEC and other external reports
Assist the Senior Director - Tax in monitoring the Companys policies and procedures
Monitor and review tax legislation to assess applicability to the Company
Assist the Senior Director - Tax with mergers and acquisitions
Review federal state local and partnership returns
Review estimated tax payments
Supervision of income tax staff
Build and maintain relationships within the Finance groups as well as throughout the organization to help facilitate timely and accurate tax compliance reporting and execution of tax strategy
Assist in identifying tax risk areas and work with other functional areas to ensure appropriate steps are taken to minimize tax risk
Provide ongoing support to the Senior Director - Tax related to tax planning and strategy
Support indirect tax compliance
Assists with miscellaneous projects and reports as requested

Qualifications

Education Level: Bachelors Degree
Major: Tax Accounting Finance or related field


Degree must be from an accredited college or university.

Education Details:
Masters in taxation or JD preferred.

Certifications and/or Licenses:
CPA required

Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable: No
Continuing education is required to maintain license and to perform job: Yes

Job-Related Experience

Customarily has at least the following experience: 7 years
Seven years of related experience in a public accounting firm or large public company.
Superior analytical problem-solving and data-gathering and analysis skills.
