Lead Scrum Master

Job Description:

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Overview:

This career step requires intermediate level experience. A Scrum Master is the servant leader of a scrum team. The scrum team uses an agile scrum development methodology which allows the team to self-organize and make changes quickly.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• The Scrum Master guides a scrum team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices perform the role of a Release Train Engineer (RTE) and how to get the most out of self organization.
• Conduct Scrum of Scrum ceremonies assesses the maturity of the scrum team providing support and coaching their team to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable to the team.
• Removes impediments and/or guides the team on how to remove impediments. The Scrum Master/RTE facilitates and leads Agile ceremonies (Daily Standup Demonstration Story Point Estimation Retrospective Iteration Planning Backlog Grooming) and fosters continuous improvement.
• Collaborates with team members but does not act as a manager lead developer Project Manager or Product Owner.
• Remove impediments to a teams productivity by shielding them from outside influences.
• Empower teams and facilitate creativity while guarding quality and monitoring iteration progress while striving for successful completion. Represent the team to management.
• Disseminate information to the team including metrics and charts. Work with other Scrum Masters to ensure organizational process improvement.
• The Scrum Master builds and maintains a trusting and safe environment where problems and issues can be raised without fear of blame retribution or being judged.
• As a servant leader the scrum master protects the team from external distractions allowing the team to focus on the work to which they have committed.

Years of Experience and Education:

• Typically requires 5-7 years experience.Experience with Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint JIRA Agile SAFe Agile methodologies. Mandatory experience handling scrum teams and conducting scrum ceremonies.
• Familiarity with LeanKit and ADO is desired but not mandatory.

Our Lead Scrum Master earns between $143800-$215800 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography experience expertise and education/training.
