Were currently seeking an experienced and motivated Drill and Blast Engineer to join our high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to dynamic projects in a company that values ingenuity and professional growth.
The RoleAs a Drill and Blast Engineer you will be responsible for designing implementing and monitoring drill and blast activities to optimise production outcomes while maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimise drill and blast designs using relevant software (e.g. ShotPlus BlastPlan Vulcan or similar).
Create drill and blast schedules
Monitor blast performance and conduct post-blast analysis to improve results.
Ensure all activities comply with site-specific standards environmental regulations and safety procedures.
Provide technical support to drill and blast crews.
Generate reports and maintain accurate records of all D&B activities.
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
2 years experience in a drill and blast role (open cut).
Experience with wall control blasting and vibration sensitive environments
Proven experience with drill and blast software tools.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Uncompromising commitment to safety.
Current manual drivers licence.
Experience with civil blasting (preferred but not essential).
Quarry Managers ticket (preferred but not essential)
