Job Description
About the Role
Our partner is looking for a Procurement Director to lead the companys purchasing logistics and planning functions with a service-oriented mindset that prioritizes efficiency sustainability and strategic alignment. This role will oversee the entire corporate supply chain and implement cost-saving and improvement-driven initiatives tailored to evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously improve all supply chain processes including planning procurement and logistics.
- Collaborate with the Deputy General Manager to execute operational plans aligned with company goals.
- Monitor warehouse and inventory reports and coordinate the resolution of accounting discrepancies.
- Ensure that all procurement and supply chain operations comply with national and international regulations.
- Develop and implement sustainability-focused projects aligned with corporate ESG targets.
- Supervise and support the performance and development of staff within the area of responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety environmental and quality standards; manage risks and opportunities effectively.
- Operate in accordance with data protection laws and information security management systems.
- Ensure implementation of board decisions and compliance with the companys legal obligations.
- Foster strong collaboration and communication with other departments and managers.
- Propose and implement initiatives focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in managerial roles preferably with sector-specific experience.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (especially SAP).
- Experience in warehousing and textile industries is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Residing in Istanbul (or Ankara) and open to travel.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Advanced negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Proficiency in English.
- For male candidates: completion of mandatory military service.
