Job Description
- Location: Federal Way WA 98003
- Shift: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
- Contract Length: 42 Weeks
- Pay Rate: $50 - $55/hr
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students specific learning needs.
- Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals and general curriculum standards.
- Modify curriculum and assessments to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers therapists and support staff to integrate students into mainstream classrooms where appropriate.
- Monitor and assess student progress adjusting teaching strategies and interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student records progress reports and IEP compliance.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and educational strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings professional development and school-wide initiatives.
- Bachelors Degree or higher in Special Education or a related field (required).
- Washington State Teaching Certification with Special Education Endorsement (required).
- Prior experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of IDEA IEPs and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication collaboration and organizational skills.
