Job Description
Local Certified Surgical Tech/CVOR Contract Role
Location: Erie PA 16550
Weekly Pay Rate: $1512 - $1620
Duration: 12-week contract
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field for cardiovascular operating room procedures.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of surgical instruments and equipment specific to CVOR.
- Work closely with surgeons anesthesiologists RNs and other OR staff as part of the surgical team.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and pass instruments and supplies.
- Monitor for and ensure proper sterile technique is maintained.
- Handle specimens appropriately according to policy and procedures.
- Maintain surgical counts of instruments sponges and sharps.
- Perform scrub duties for a wide variety of complex cardiovascular surgeries.
- Certification: NBSTSA Certification (Required)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)-Required
