We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Strategic Data Analytics Lead (m/f/d) to define and drive a company-wide reporting and dashboarding strategy that focuses on actionable insights. Are you ready for a new challenge in a rapidly developing insurtech Look no further
Your role in a team:
BI & Reporting Strategy
- Define and drive a company-wide reporting and dashboarding strategy that focuses on actionable insights
- Support in maintaining and developing our self-service landscape and improve data literacy across our company
- Identify and eliminate redundant or low-impact reports; streamline and standardize KPI definitions across teams.
Business Prioritization & Data Strategy
- Act as a sparring partner to the Data Platform Lead to prioritize data sources and models based on business needs and strategic goals.
- Translate business requirements into clear data needs and help shape the data roadmap.
- Ensure alignment between data infrastructure and use cases across departments.
Analytics Enablement & Coaching
- Mentor and upskill Business Analysts in Sales Marketing and Ops helping them grow their analytical capabilities and storytelling with data.
- Create best practices for dashboard creation metric consistency and interpretation of results.
- Facilitate a knowledge-sharing culture across analysts and ensure alignment in tooling and methodology.
Strategic Data Projects
- Enabling leadership with data-driven insights (e.g. customer segmentation growth modeling churn analysis)
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Management and leadership team on critical business questions using data to guide high-impact decisions.
- Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives like integrating new markets into our reporting landscape or supporting pricing and product analytics for new insurance products
What you need to be successful:
- 58 years of experience in analytics business intelligence or data strategy roles ideally in high-growth tech SaaS or digital business environments.
- Proven track record of owning company-wide reporting or BI initiatives including defining KPI frameworks and improving dashboard ecosystems.
- Experience working closely with leadership or C-level on strategic data-driven decisions (e.g. pricing market expansion customer segmentation).
- Strong ability to translate business questions into data needs and partner with data engineering or platform teams on model requirements.
- Hands-on experience with modern BI tools (e.g. Looker Metabase Tableau Power BI) and SQL proficiency for self-service analytics.
- Prior mentoring or informal leadership of analysts or cross-functional stakeholders; ideally experience establishing analytics standards or processes.
- Familiarity with data governance definitions and source documentation even if not responsible for pipelines or ETL.
- Bonus: exposure to insurance healthtech or regulated environments or experience supporting pricing and underwriting teams.
- dbt knowledge would be a plus
- Native or C2 English knowledge if German would be a plus
- Spanish or Italian would be a big plus
- Berlin-based
