We operate with a lean entrepreneurial team and actively support investments and partners across Europe and globally. Our Lisbon office is expanding and were looking for a Financial Controller ready to take on a broad impactful role spanning operational finance reporting and investment support.
Tasks
Core Tasks
- Financial Oversight: Monitor and review financials across investments holding structures and family-related entities
- Accounting: Manage or coordinate accounting across jurisdictions including hands-on involvement for Portuguese entities
- Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports; support internal dashboards KPIs and performance monitoring
- Tax & Audit: Coordinate with tax advisors and auditors to ensure compliance and timely delivery of filings and audits
Strategic Contributions
- Financial Due Diligence: Support the investment team with reviews of financials cap tables and transaction structures
- Process & Systems: Help design implement and improve financial processes reporting tools and internal controls
- Cost Controlling: Oversee cash flows entity-level spending and intercompany reconciliations; support funding structures
Requirements
- 25 years of experience in accounting controlling or audit (Big Four experience strongly preferred)
- Strong technical understanding of IFRS and local GAAP; exposure to multi-jurisdiction structures is a plus
- Familiarity with investment environments and financial due diligence is a plus
- Proficient in Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g. Bexio Xero Exact ERP systems) is an advantage
- Analytical and data-driven with excellent problem-solving skills
- Highly organized detail-oriented and self-directed
- Fluent in English and Portuguese; German is a strong plus

This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting and audit preferably from a Big Four firm who is looking to transition into a more dynamic finance position within an investment platform.
Youll work closely with senior leadership and gain exposure to the full financial scope of the family office including financial control reporting cross-border coordination and investment-related analysis. You will also take ownership of local accounting activities in Portugal while contributing to processes across jurisdictions.
