Team Leadership & Growth- Recruit and mentor a high-performing development team (both frontend and backend) of 6 10 integration engineers and contractors.
Technical Strategy & Architecture- Define and evolve a modular SDK/API framework authentication messaging voice webhooks embeddable widgets compliance and AI.
SDK Enhancement- Lead the evolution of SMS Magics SDK from Version 1.0 to Version 2.0 incorporating partner feedback market trends and best practices.
Feature Integration- Introduce advanced features to the SDK such as improved API interfaces enhanced documentation and streamlined developer tools.
Delivery & Execution- Oversee end-to-end delivery of 8 10 connector projects per quarter (e.g. Salesforce ActiveCampaign Dialpad RCS). Ensure 99.9% uptime SLAs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Liaise with Product Management DevOps QA and Customer Success to align roadmap CI/CD pipelines test automation and support escalations.
Process Optimization- Implement agile best practices sprint planning code reviews and metrics-based performance tracking (velocity defect escape rate time to onboard).
Stakeholder Communication- Present roadmap status risks and wins to CTO and leadership; advocate for engineering needs and resource allocation.
What will qualify you for this role:
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related.
7 years of Core hands-on software engineering with 3 years leading integration and or platform efforts
Strong expertise in Python HTML/CSS etc deep knowledge of RESTful/ GraphQL APIs microservices OAuth2 webhooks and SDK design.
Proven track record of creating Technical components Roadmaps libraries and shipping scalable connectors to CRMs (e.g. Salesforce HubSpot Zoho) and CPaaS/Messaging platforms (e.g Twilio Vonage WhatsApp).
Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) CI/CD (Jenkins/GitHub Actions) and test automation frameworks.
Excellent communicator comfortable presenting to C-level executives and inspiring the Global developer community.
Strong bias for action with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to thrive under shifting priorities.
Great to Have
Experience in compliance modules (TCPA GDPR HIPAA DLT) and AI/ML integration for conversational flows.
Prior involvement with public SDK or Developer Portal launches and open source ecosystems.
Familiarity with enterprise CTI protocols (SIP WebRTC) and voice to SMS fallback logic.
