Job Description

We are looking for a committed and caring Special Education Teacher to become part of our energetic and supportive team. In this role you ll work with students who have diverse learning emotional behavioral and physical needs. Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing personalized instruction that aligns with each student s unique abilities empowering them to succeed both academically and personally.

In this role youll be responsible for developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each students unique learning needs. Youll collaborate closely with fellow teachers parents and support professionals to foster a supportive and inclusive educational environment. Your participation in IEP meetings will involve sharing insights and providing updates on student progress along with suggesting necessary adjustments to learning plans. Additionally youll monitor and document student growth making data-informed decisions to adapt instruction as needed. Managing classroom behavior using compassionate and effective strategies will also be a key part of your responsibilities ensuring a respectful and positive learning atmosphere for all students.

More Details:

Position begins in August 2025.
Roles available at multiple grade levels.
Interviews are currently being scheduled.

Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid Illinois teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students effectively staff and families.
