You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Junior Estimator & Cost Control Coordinator supports both pre-construction estimating and post-award cost control functions working alongside senior team members to ensure the delivery of accurate cost assessments contract documentation and financial tracking. This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle while contributing to the commercial and financial success of projects.
Review and analyze project plans drawings specifications and scope documents to develop a clear understanding of project requirements.
Perform quantity take-offs and assist in preparing cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
Assist in the preparation of proposals bid forms and bid packages for client submissions and upcoming opportunities.
Support bid evaluation leveling and preparation of comparison tables for internal review and decision-making.
Assist in gathering pricing scope clarifications and subcontractor/vendor information as part of bid preparation.
Use standardized templates to draft subcontract agreements purchase orders (POs) and change order documentation.
Track contract versions distribute agreements for signature and maintain up-to-date contract registers and logs.
Tracking and documenting invoices subcontractor payment applications and approved change orders.
Support job costing efforts ensuring proper allocation of costs to respective budget codes and project phases.
Maintain accurate cost logs budget trackers and financial documentation for active projects.
Assist in the preparation of cost reports cash flow forecasts and financial summaries for management review.
Support the development of Earned Value Management (EVM) reports including Cost Performance Index (CPI) Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and variance analyses.
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure alignment between project records and financial systems.
Collaborate with project teams to gather data for budget updates invoicing and reporting.
Participate in internal and client meetings to gain exposure to project controls and cost discussions.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Basic understanding of cost estimation financial tracking and construction project workflows.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with take-off and estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam PlanSwift CostX) is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
