Job Description
To support the origination structuring and execution of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and equity-raising transactions in East Africa across sectors by developing a seasoned understanding of the Investment Banking (IB) M&A Advisory portfolio and by performing activities independently to support the growth of a leading M&A Advisory business within defined Corporate IB risk parameters and relevant regulatory requirements.
Qualifications :
Type of Qualification: First Degree
MBA CFA or ACCA qualification is an added advantage
Experience Required
4-8 years
- In-depth understanding of the East African business environment and key players.
- Proficient understanding of key financial concepts with experience in interpreting client financial statements calculating financial ratios and building financial models.
- Experience in drafting client documentation (information memoranda teasers management presentations board materials pitch proposals memoranda and other presentation materials).
- A thorough understanding of a deal life cycle with strong project management skills and excellent client handling skills.
- An understanding of key legislation and regulations.
- A minimum of 4 years in investment banking or private equity.
