Job Description

Ready to build the future one structure at a time AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer II to join our team in Denver CO or Columbus OH.

But wait theres more! As our Structural Engineer II youll:

  • Get your hands dirty with a smorgasbord of projects from entertainment to government and everything in between.
  • Team up with seasoned engineers on large projects while also taking the reins on smaller structural design projects.
  • Become the captain of your own ship managing small to medium-sized projects independently.

Your daily adventures will include:

  • Flexing your mental muscles with structural analysis and design
  • Playing matchmaker between different design disciplines and preparing contract documents
  • Donning your hard hat for some hands-on construction administration
  • Channeling your inner Shakespeare to craft compelling structural reports assessments and studies

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering from and ABET accredited university or related field 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • US Citizenship required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Master of Science (with structural engineering concentration)
  • Engineer in Training Certification
  • Demonstrated experience applying all major structural design codes.
  • Demonstrated experience using 3-D structural analysis software. (examples include ETABS SAP RISA RAM and SAFE)
  • Experience designing in Steel Concrete Masonry and Timber (CLT)
  • Experience with Wind and Seismic lateral design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in use of REVIT/AutoCAD to provide production support as a portion of team support and development
  • Experience with performance-based design
  • Experience with ASCE 41 for retrofit of existing structures
