Job Description

AECOM is seeking a talented Data Cloud Engineer to join our growing team of analytics experts.  

Responsibilities:

  • Design construct test and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
  • Develop and optimize data pipeline architectures for large-scale data processing.
  • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Build high-performance algorithms predictive models and prototypes.
  • Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data.
  • Develop data set processes for data modeling mining and production.
  • Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with data architects modelers and IT team members on project goals.
  • Optimize data infrastructure for performance scalability and reliability

This position will offer a hybrid work schedule including both remote and in office work arrangements based from our office in Bucharest.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
  • 3 years of experience working with cloud platforms (big 3).
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python Java or Scala)
  • Experience with database management and data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop Spark or Kafka.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of serverless computing and building serverless applications.
  • Ability to design and manage geo-agnostic servers and distributed systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in computer science Engineering or a related field
  • Expertise with machine learning and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
  • Certification in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Certified Data Analytics Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer).
