Job Description


Job Title: Title I Fiscal & Program Compliance Specialist Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Federal & State Programs Pay Grade: ADMIN PG 1
Dept. /School: Finance Days: 227
Funding: 100% Title I


Primary Purpose: To provide leadership training coordination and perform campus desk audits to ensure fiscal and program compliance within Title One so all Title One program students receive the maximum benefit of the program. Responsibilities include compliance monitoring and documentation program support and implementation data recording and reporting budget and grant management and parent and family engagement support.


Qualifications:


Education/Certification:

High School Diploma from Accredited School or GED Equivalent
One year federal fiscal and programmatic experience
Bachelors Degree Preferred


Special Knowledge Skills:

Strong background in procedures related to administrative regulations
Working knowledge of governmental accounting structure
Campus and/or district level planning experience
Presentation skills in developing programmatic guidance and training to large and diverse groups
Ability to audit and report findings
Strong use of technology with experience in Excel Word presentation software Outlook and Google sheets

Experience:
Five years experience supporting students and schools in various educational settings
Title One programmatic rules for compliance to include parent engagement and campus level training experience

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Work with and positively impact the ability of Title One campuses to manage federal payroll requirements manage program planning and fiscal monitoring plan fiscal process trainings and oversee parent engagement.

Work with all departments to perform internal audits of programs processes and procedures; ensure campus plans and program plans are followed.

Assist in establishing program objectives and develop a plan for the implementation and evaluation of these objectives.

Assist in the recruitment screening hiring and training of program personnel.

Conduct program meetings and attend relevant school district and professional meetings as necessary.

Act as a resource person for program teachers principals and secretaries on programmatic questions and problems.

Research and share programs designed to improve Title One programs and services.

Assist in identifying and utilizing community resources for the program.

Participate in monitoring the quarterly evaluations of Title One programs and annual evaluations of programs.
Keep informed of educational innovations and trends as they relate to at-risk students.


Supervisory Responsibilities: Establish relationships with campus staff perform desk audits and provide feedback as appropriate to ensure compliance with Title One program and fiscal compliance; monitor level of implementation of program initiatives.
