Our hospitals highly specialized Intensive Care Unit (ICU) dedicated to adult patients requiring intensive monitoring and care including after surgery or due to medical conditions including cardiac care works closely with the Special Care Unit (SCU).

As aRegistered Nurse in the Special Care Unit(SCU) you will beprivileged to care for lower acuityICU Stepdown patientson drips with complex medical and surgical problems.

Darlene Nortonserves as the Nurse Manager with a demonstrated track record of effective leadership. Darlene began her career at Johns Hopkins Hospital as a PCT prior to completing nursing school and then working as a nurse in the CCU. In a short span she showcased her capabilities earning promotions to Lead Clinical RN and Assistant Nurse Manager in 2019. Her journey continued when she later transferred to HCMC.

Darlene is not only a proficient leader but also a mentor who actively supports the professional growth of RNs. She oversees three vital units: The Intensive Care Unit the Special Care Unit (IMCU) and Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Nursing. Salary Range: Minimum$36.05/hour - Maximum$56.18/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
