What Youll Do:
As an Estimating Engineer you will:
- Research and estimate costs production factors and required resources for new designs materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to compile initial estimates for equipment tooling and processes.
- Analyze blueprints sketches and specifications to calculate production costs using historical data and pricing schedules.
- Provide budgetary and costing advice to project stakeholders.
- Create detailed reports and formal quotations for management and clients.
- Identify potential patent issues and support economic analysis.
- Track actual project costs and assist in planning phases.
- Lead small-scale projects with limited scope and duration.
What You Bring:
- One of the following:
- Bachelors degree in business engineering or related field 2 years of experience
- Associates degree 4 years of experience
- High school diploma or equivalent 6 years of experience
- Strong arithmetic and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables for data analysis)
- Knowledge of raw materials production processes and cost optimization
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP
