You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailReporting to the Plant Manager the Production Manager is responsible for planning coordinating and controlling all manufacturing activities performed at Greenwood/CPFG as well as other operations that support the facility. This managerial position is accountable to ensure the efficient and food-safe production and packaging of juice concentrates. This is a full-time at-will exempt salaried position.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Work with the Inventory and Production Planning team to create and manage production schedules to meet demand and ensure the timely manufacture of products
Hiring onboarding and supervising production staff fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Direct and develop staff through performance management strategies and techniques including coaching team meetings performance evaluations and operational review.
Ensuring that production staff receive adequate training regarding safety quality and operational procedures.
Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet established standards
Monitoring and controlling production and labor costs identifying areas for cost reduction and optimizing resource allocation
Ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety health and safety and environmental regulations (QFS programs including GMPs SOPs OSHA and FSSC 22000
Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of production equipment ensuring its proper functioning and minimizing downtime
Identifying areas for improvement in production processes implementing changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
Generating production reports analyzing data and presenting findings to management.
Implementing strategies and initiatives to drive continuous improvement in all aspects of production.
Maintaining effective communication with other departments such as supply chain logistics and sales to ensure smooth operations
Identifying and resolving production-related issues implementing corrective actions and preventing future occurrences
Qualifications Include:
5 - 10 years of experience in the operation of fluid processing machinery and automation software in a food manufacturing environment
Ability to manage and teach others
Excellent communication skills both written and oral
Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Superior knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices SOPs and SSOPs as it applies to food manufacturing operations with the ability to meaningfully contribute to improvements
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
BS degree in Science Food Science Engineering Agriculture or related field preferred
Certifications (HACCP CQE) a plus
Working hours flexibility as dictated by operational demands
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time
Continually able to reach overhead bend squat and kneel
Able to safely lift boxes up to 55 pounds
Bending / Twisting / Reaching Squatting / Kneeling
Repetitive movement keyboard
