This role involves drafting advising on and negotiating commercial contracts and providing competent legal advice on a broad range of matters. Matters include data protection and privacy disputes IP employment or real property. The team is also asked to advise on policy related to cyber security more generally.
The legal counsel will liaise closely with the global legal team to ensure a consistent approach is taken for example when considering risk processes and new services.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of issues including commercial contracts regulatory compliance and risk management.
Draft review and negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure they meet the companys legal and business requirements.
Collaborate with various departments to provide legal support and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues customers partners and suppliers.
Stay informed about industry trends legal developments and best practices to provide proactive and strategic legal advice.
Champion legal regulatory and organizational standards within the company.
Drive value through informed and detailed advice to key decision-makers.
Qualifications and Skills:
Law Degree and admitted to practice law in UK or other jurisdiction where NCC has an office and willing to be admitted to practice in UK.
Proven experience in commercial contracts and other relevant areas of law.
Experience in the technology sector and an interest in cyber security.
Experience working in an in-house legal environment is advantageous.
Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in other languages is advantageous.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to apply commercial understanding and strategic input when providing support.
Awareness and understanding of potential risk factors and the ability to mitigate them effectively.
