Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add an Junior Electrical Design Engineer located in Kendal United Kingdom.
Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager LVS the Junior Electrical Design Engineer role will be part of an excellent engineer team whose members are strong communicators ambitious & innovative. You will work across multiple disciplines to get a full overview of the life cycle of the product along with the technical acumen required for the role. You will also liaise with Project Managers and the Electrical Design Manager supporting on the development of the library of standard drawings.
What a typical day looks like:
- You will create Electrical designs of switchboards & associated products ready for Sales / production purposes
- Liaising with the sales team to understand client specifications and requirements
- Ensuring drawings issued are controlled accurate and easy to follow
- Aiding Sales to resolve problems with new & existing product designs
- Liaising with 2D & 3D Designers to ensure library is accurate
- Utilising AutoCAD to add tags to existing drawings
- You will report to the Central Bids Manager
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Relevant experience in a switchgear production environment (electrical) will be considered in lieu of a third level qualification
- Have a solid understanding of electricity fundamentals and electrical circuit design
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
- Have a methodical approach to problem solving
- Understanding of electrical engineering drawings such as single line diagrams and schematics is advantageous
