The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Associate degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 13 years of experience in IT desktop or technical support.
- Proficiency with Windows OS Microsoft 365 and common software platforms.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology environments Epic EHR system and HIPAA compliance preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent customer service interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Industry certifications (e.g. CompTIA A Network Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician).
Job Summary:
The Desktop Analyst provides front-line technical support to staff across our hospital and medical clinics ensuring reliable and secure operation of end-user hardware software and peripherals. This role is responsible for resolving help desk tickets performing equipment maintenance and installations and supporting clinical and administrative technology users with professionalism and efficiency.
Required Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- Proficient in the use of current technology including Microsoft Office products. Ability to learn and effectively use electronic medical records and other systems and equipment.
- Professional and effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Strong leadership organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and display flexibility in a fast-paced and changing work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve help desk requests related to desktops laptops printers scanners phones and peripheral devices.
- Install configure maintain and troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware and software in compliance with hospital policies.
- Support staff with access issues password resets software installations and routine IT questions.
- Perform upgrades and patches for operating systems and installed applications as needed.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining user accounts email and security permissions.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and assist with asset lifecycle management (e.g. setup replacement decommissioning).
- Collaborate with network and systems administrators for escalated support issues and project deployments.
- Document support activities procedures and solutions in the help desk system.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA data security policies and all IT compliance standards.
