Description
Rothman Orthopaedics is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Center City Philadelphia! This is a hybrid position that allows for two work from home days per week.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM
The Position:
The Staff Accountant will serve as an integral part of the finance team responsible for maintaining financial records and reports performing accounts reconciliations assisting with close processes and maintaining applicable account documentation.
- Prepare journal entries analyses account reconciliations and assisting with the monthly close process.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Meet processing and reporting deadlines both internal and external.
- Respond to and assist with information requests reviewing financials statements and assisting with external audits.
- Ensure that accounting records and reporting are compliant with GAAP standards.
- Assist Asst Controller and Senior Accountant as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or related field
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Basic understanding of Microsoft especially Excel and GAAP
- Self-starter with the ability to identify accounting discrepancies problem solve and think critically; Strong time-management skills; Ability to work under time constraints and pressure; Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sage Intacct (accounting system) Quickbooks
