The University seeks an experienced attorney to serve as Assistant General Counsel and Health Information Privacy Officer who will provide legal advice related to medical colleges student clinic and clinical center including supervision of outside counsel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Universitys health care portfolio. The person will also function as a generalist providing advice and services in a variety of subject areas handled by OGC. Substantial knowledge and experience in a minimum of three practice areas relevant to higher education is preferred such as labor and employment civil rights Title IX FERPA student life state and federal constitutional law contracts and procurement business transactions risk management and insurance subpoena and discovery practice policy development and public records.
