Strategic Communications Specialist (Executive-Level Support) - ONSITE
Location: Norfolk VA.

We are actively seeking an experienced Strategic Communications Specialist (executive-level) to support the U.S. Department of the Navys U.S. US Fleet Forces Command Fleet Strategy and Engagement Division Fleet to assist with the development communication and assessing the implementation of the Commander U.S. Fleet Forces (USFF) vision and guidance.
This role is contingent upon award.
Work Description:
Provide executive-level strategic communications planning and support with a focus on crafting high-impact communication products for leadership engagements Congressional interactions and internal stakeholders. The role requires advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint Excel and Outlook.
Responsibilities: The Strategic Communications Specialist will support tasks such as:
- Develop 4-star-level Microsoft PowerPoint presentations templates and multimedia materials
- Provide targeted communication strategies and execution plans for leadership and external stakeholders
- Draft executive communication products including speeches talking points media kits fact sheets and newsletters
- Create and maintain communication plans and content for strategic engagements and internal messaging
- Assist in drafting the Commanders Vision and Guidance statements
- Coordinate and manage strategic communication processes on both classified (up to SECRET) and unclassified networks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to produce clear concise communications suitable for various audiences including Congress
Minimum Requirements:
- Secret security Clearance
- Masters degree or bachelors with 7 years of experience
- 4 years in strategic communications and executive-level product development
- Advanced PowerPoint: Custom master slides templates multimedia integration and co-authoring tools
- Advanced Excel: Dashboards pivot tables data modeling and analytics
- Outlook: Calendar and contact management ghost emailing and advanced email organization
