Job Description

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS FOUNDATIONhas an immediate opening for anRepresentative Gift Administration

The University of Illinois Foundation (Foundation) is the official fundraising and private gift-receiving organization of the University of Illinois (University). It works closely with alumni and friends faculty and staff corporations and foundations as well as campus development professionals to create fundraising programs and opportunities that benefit the University.


The Representative Gift Administration is responsible for daily and annualized receipt production. Provides timely accurate information to inquiries from various constituencies as it relates to the services provided in Gift Administration. Supports all programs within the department as directed.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the production and management of daily and annualized receipts.
  • Enter pledges under the direction of a Gift Administration Specialist
  • Assist with fund administration review maintenance under the direction of a Gift Administration Specialist
  • Assist with the management and administration of the matching gift program
  • Process and document return of funds requests upon the request of a Gift Administration Specialist.
  • Perform administrative support such as receiving and sorting mail and assisting the team as needed.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of data input database and/or other directly related experience required
  • Operate a personal computer using word processing spreadsheets databases or presentation applications e.g. Microsoft Office Products (incl. Word Excel and Outlook)


PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with accounting or business-related fields
  • Experience with the donor Tracking and Engagement Database (TED) and Hyland Onbase
  • Knowledge of University of Illinois Foundation and University of Illinois administrative systems and procedures
  • Familiarity with University Advancement activities.
  • Ability to work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment and analysis is required in resolving problems and making recommendations
  • Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Solid customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing as well as using good judgment in situations requiring initiative and tact
  • Solid time and project management skills
  • Solid computer knowledge and ability to use word processing email spreadsheet and database software programs. Computer skills may be subject to testing/verification

The starting salary range for this position is projected to be $36000 - $43000 per year. While our job postings include salary ranges your compensation will be based on your specific experience and qualificationswere not limited by these posted ranges.
