Job Description

RN-Step Down Contract Role

Location: Cambridge MA 02138
Duration: 13-Weeks Contract
Shift Type: Rotating
Weekly Pay Range: $2340 $2520 Hours: 36/week guaranteed

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients with progressive/intermediate care needs
  • Administer cardiac intravenous medications according to protocols and physician orders
  • Perform continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring (telemetry)
  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient status including emergency situations
  • Collaborate with physicians advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Educate patients and their families regarding conditions treatment plans and self-care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Follow all hospital policies procedures and safety protocols
Requirements:
  • Active Massachusetts RN license (required)
  • Minimum of 1 2 years recent Step Down / Progressive Care / Telemetry experience
  • Proficient in administering cardiac IV medications and telemetry monitoring
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
  • Strong critical thinking clinical judgment and communication skills
