Job Description
RN-Step Down Contract Role
Location: Cambridge MA 02138
Duration: 13-Weeks Contract
Shift Type: Rotating
Weekly Pay Range: $2340 $2520 Hours: 36/week guaranteed
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients with progressive/intermediate care needs
- Administer cardiac intravenous medications according to protocols and physician orders
- Perform continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring (telemetry)
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient status including emergency situations
- Collaborate with physicians advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and their families regarding conditions treatment plans and self-care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Follow all hospital policies procedures and safety protocols
- Active Massachusetts RN license (required)
- Minimum of 1 2 years recent Step Down / Progressive Care / Telemetry experience
- Proficient in administering cardiac IV medications and telemetry monitoring
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- Strong critical thinking clinical judgment and communication skills
