If you are a Strategic Pricing Manager looking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Boulder CO or Shakopee MN location you will create value by implementing pricing excellence best practices and toolsets to maximize our price realization through the cycles. The position involves implementing price initiatives and encouraging broad engagement across the organization.

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Conduct detailed data analysis to identify pricing trends discounting patterns and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Investigate root causes behind pricing and discount challenges collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop practical data-supported solutions.
  • Develop statistical modeling and machine learning tools to segment target and profile market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to develop advanced analytical tools that deliver data-driven pricing guidance to sales engineers in order to drive price realization and sales volume to support revenue growth objectives.
  • Support marketing product management and sales teams with fact-based pricing guidance and analytics that inform strategy and operational decisions.
  • Quantify and report monthly global price metrics (price realization and capture discount % trends) using Power BI and other visualization tools to support business decision making.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and IT to ensure Azure based data warehouses define and capture critical data needed to manage global prices.
  • Collaborate with IT sales and finance teams to identify data needs and gaps and work to structure data environments that improve accuracy traceability and usability.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define key data elements and governance processes that support pricing transparency and accountability.
  • Monitor and report on global price performance metrics including price realization and discount trends on a regular cadence.
  • Create and present ad-hoc analyses on critical pricing issues to influence decision making and strategic direction.

For This Role You Will Need:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or a technically relevant field.
  • A minimum of six (6) years related experience 2 of them working with predictive machine learning models and/or AI capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Understanding of common python data science packages (pandas numpy sklearn) and SQL
  • Familiarity with Azure suite of data engineering tools (Data Factory Databricks Synapse);
  • Proficiency with Power BI Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
  • Experience with pricing strategy discount management or financial modeling.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $69700-129500 annually commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
