Job Description
Description of Service Opportunity:
This Service Agreement is to compensate teachers who are providing substitute classroom coverage at the teacher rate.
MinimumRequirements:
- Teacher Certification in Elementary ESL and/or ELL Education
- The teacher will be skilled in effective instructional strategies for teaching ELLs English language learning and Sheltered Immersion methodology. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with colleagues demonstrate high expectations for English language learners be effective in working with immigrant families and create a learning environment that fosters mutual respect and cultural sensitivity.
Education: Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a concentration in elementary education and teaching ELLs
Experience: At least 1 year of experience teaching linguistically diverse students in an urban setting.
Languages: Proficiency in English and fluency in a language other than English is preferred but not required.
Length of Contract:
July 1 2025 through July 15 2025
Contract Amount:
Not exceed $3250.00
Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exemptemployee and have worked more than 40 hours a week you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours.
