Travel XRay Technologist Opportunity Evenings Rochester NY
Looking for an exciting travel role in Rochester NY We have an evening shift opening for a skilled General XRay Technologist with oncall responsibilitiesincluding weekends and holidays. Must be able to report within 30 minutes of an oncall alert.
Schedule
Evenings: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Sunday Thursday
Oncall callbacks & holidays per unit needs
Must report within 30 minutes of callin
Position Overview
Provide diagnostic radiography in a Level 1 trauma environment during evening hours. Your work will support physicians and complement ER workflow with speed and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Verify patient identity and physician orders using dualidentifier protocols
Educate and reassure patients about procedures
Safely position patientsincluding those with limited mobility
Operate Xray Carm/Oarm equipment per ALARA and safety standards
Capture highquality diagnostic images and upload to PACS
Monitor patient status and adhere to agespecific care needs
Report equipment issues promptly
Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff for smooth operations
Requirements
Graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Active ARRT certification
NYS license (or able to obtain prior to start)
2 years Xray technologist experience with Level1 trauma background
BLS (AHA)
Carm/Oarm experience within the past 8 months
Physical ability to lift/move patients and stand long hours
Clear analytical and communication skills
Compassionate patientcentered attitude
Teamoriented and adaptable
Able to arrive within 30 minutes on call
