What Youll Do
- Drive the editorial vision and strategic direction for both digital and print platforms.
- Lead a team of journalists to produce high-quality engaging and impactful content across multiple platforms.
- Shape digital-first workflows while maintaining strong print standards.
- Collaborate with audience product and marketing teams to optimize reach and engagement.
- Use audience data and analytics to inform coverage and elevate reader experiences.
- Assign stories guide editorial planning and ensure journalistic excellence in every piece published.
- Edit and approve copy with an eye for accuracy clarity grammar and tone.
- Oversee daily operations including layout production deadlines and budget.
- Represent The Beaumont Enterprise as a visible community and industry leader.
What You Bring
- A passion for impactful community-focused journalism.
- Bachelors degree in journalism communications or a related field.
- 10 years of progressive newsroom experience including newsroom leadership.
- Proven ability to lead teams coach talent and deliver results under deadline.
- Strong grasp of digital platforms content management systems and data tools.
- Mastery of AP Style grammar and editorial best practices.
- Excellent judgment and editorial instincts with the ability to balance breaking news enterprise and audience interests.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work across departments.
- Skilled in time management page layout and multi-platform storytelling.
