QUALIFICATIONS:

- Possess a clear and valid Texas drivers license.
- Basic knowledge of the required skills and techniques necessary for a custodial program.
- Demonstrate personal integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Possess interpersonal and leadership skills necessary to communicate with diverse employee groups administrators and patrons.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with Assistant Director of Operations in the supervision and coordination of daily activities of eight (8) area managers and their custodial staff.
- Conduct and manage the departments technical training for all custodial staff (new & existing) to ensure they receive comprehensive training on equipment chemicals cleaning processes and procedures. Maintain and update custodial technical training booklet policies and procedures.
- Conduct and manage the departments safety training program to be in compliance with OSHA as well as state and federal safety regulations. Responsibilities include creating training courses and materials conducting safety inspections attending district safety meetings monitoring compliance assessing training needs reviewing potential threats etc.
- Conduct routine cleaning and quality inspections of school areas. Provide guidance and support to school-based custodians to ensure duties are executed properly and safely. Offer recommendations to Director & Assistant Director of Operations based on inspection findings.
- Track and maintain accurate equipment and inventory records using spreadsheets for each school. Provide regular updates to the department regarding equipment status. Process purchase of new equipment.
- Provides support to area managers in the mentoring counseling and documenting of campus based custodial staff.
- Responsible for compiling maintaining and ensuring compliance with state-mandated and OSHA-required documentation reports and records.
- Execute and deliver special projects and reports assigned by Director and Assistant Director of Operations.
- Supervise and evaluate job performance of selected personnel within the Operations Department.
- Assist with the recruitment training and supervision of department personnel and make sound recommendations concerning personnel placement transfer retention and dismissal.
- Work with the Assistant Director of Operations in responding to incidents of potential employee involvement concerning drugs or alcohol and other employee related investigations.
- Work cooperatively with principals and facilities managers to ensure a high standard of safety cleanliness and efficiency of building operations.
- Assess and address the needs of building administrators to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director & Assistant Director of Operations.
