ROLE OUTLINE:
The role of the Implementation and Activation Director/Associate Director within Wavemaker is to deliver theImplementation and Activation incorporates traditional media (TV Cinema Out of Home Radio Print Digital Video and Display) and the online evolution of traditional media (Addressable TV Programmatic OOH Music Streaming and Podcasting).
The role of Director/Associate Director within the Implementation and Activation team is to help shape and manage the delivery of client media plans.
The role of the Implementation and Activation Associate - Performance within Wavemaker is to deliver the
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
People
  • Openly communicate and collaborate with all internal key stakeholders and reports regularly
  • Hold regular performance evaluation meetings with reports throughout the year setting SMART KPIs and creating a clear career development plan with them.
  • Overseeing workflow of junior members of the team and escalating any issues.

Clients

  • Establish an understanding of client challenges objectives & initiatives.
  • Help build on the agencys reputation for outstanding client service.
  • Own relationships with clients at a Marketing Assistant or Marketing Manager level when it comes to Implementation Planning and Buying
  • Clear understanding of the in-scope services of your clients and the process for completing work above and beyond.

Product

  • Engage with our media partners to build knowledge of the media landscape and understanding of core media principles and the capabilities of each media touchpoint.
  • Engage with internal product teams including WPP Media proprietary product and service teams to ensure you have an understanding about their offerings and relevance to our clients.
  • Confident in your knowledge of media planning principles (e.g. scheduling flighting recency effective reach theories seasonality market prioritisation roles of all communication channels) and strong ability to utilise agency and industry tools to enhance and support planned recommendation.
  • Ownership of the media plan (creating developing updating) including media plan reconciliation and the update of plan changes with detailed updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Able to construct and present robust Implementation plans that are grounded in strategic priorities.
  • Complete and maintain all Performance platform certifications (Search Display Mobile Video Commerce).
  • Enrich on-going campaign optimisation to improve business objectives such as ROAS and CPA delivering across a range of touch points; sales store visits online submissions downloads etc.
  • Support the development of the media plan (creating developing updating) including media plan reconciliation and the update of plan changes with detailed updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Brings innovation and creativity to the table leveraging insights from across the market.
  • Manage the Implementation Planning and Buying function across all touchpoints ensuring maximum value is delivered for our clients on a campaign by campaign basis.
  • Construct and present insightful and progressive post analysis reports.
  • Responsible for ensuring all financial and compliance processes are followed with 100% accuracy including bookings and loadings
  • Seek to find communicate and implement improvements in all aspects of the role.

Growth & Marketing

  • Collaborate closely with your Manager to identify collate and showcase examples of great work from within the team both internally and externally.
  • Build the agencys reputation by contributing to entries for awards and competitions
  • Be a positive face of the agency at industry events either related to clients category or our media partners.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience managing a team
  • Passion for Implementation Planning and Buying
  • Passion for Search Social Programmatic E-Comm Data and Tech
  • Strong up to date media landscape knowledge (confidently able to articulate macro consumer trends and the challenges and opportunities they bring).
  • Attention to detail
  • Extensive media buying experience
  • Problem solving mentality
  • Clear communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Demonstrates well developed negotiation and Investment or Performance planning skills
  • Results Driven. Passionate about delivering business results for clients with the ability to identify and clearly articulate whats working and why.
