Auberle strengthens more than 5000 individuals and families each year helping to build strong communities. Auberle has evolved into a premier multi-service agency with programs spanning Workforce Development Housing Foster Care Young Adult Services and Behavioral Health. Auberles mission is to help build strong individuals families and communities.

In 2019 Ward Home joined the Auberle family and has three programs in our Young Adult Services Department.

Function Description:

Development in the nonprofit sector is fundraising and all that goes along with that. This position supports the entire agency with a primary goal of raising funds and supporters to sustain the agency and programs serving our communities.

Position Title and Overview:

Development Communications Coordinator

This position will grow Auberles brand identity and raise public awareness of Auberles mission and innovative programming.

  • Possess and communicate a passion for Auberles mission.
  • Serve as the lead for marketing and communications activities within the Development Department and across the organization with direction from the Director of Development and Chief Executive Officer.
  • Serve as the point person for Auberles website and manage ongoing updates.
  • Manage edit and design Auberles quarterly newsletter Auberle Abloom.
  • Coordinate media relations/public relations.
  • Run social media for the organization with direction from the Director of Development.
  • Work closely with videographers and other creative teams to develop impactful content that showcases Auberles work (written works graphic design social media posts videos etc.).
  • Use outcome data to develop messaging that resonates with donors referral agencies key decision makers clients and volunteers.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and respect for the cultural diversity of consumers volunteers staff and other stakeholders.
  • Promote the Development Departments events including the annual Voices Carry live musical event attended by 350 guests and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for those we serve.

Location and Travel Requirements:

This position is primarily located in McKeesport. All positions are also expected to come to training meetings and other events at Main Campus in McKeesport as scheduled.

The travel required for this position is regular within Western PA.

Qualifications

.

Position Requirements:

  • Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances required.
  • Valid PA drivers license vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
  • Requires working varied hours including evenings some weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and a skilled proof-reader.
  • A knack for storytelling through written and visual communications.
  • High level of knowledge with various social media platforms.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Salsa (or equivalent CRM software).
  • Experience using Canva and other graphic design programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects meet deadlines and work independently with little supervision.
  • Desire to be part of a team that values open communication and mutual support.
  • B.A. and 2-3 years of related experience in marketing communications and/or fundraising.
