Qualifications Preferred:

1. Demonstrated ability to motivate and instruct students across a wide range of ability levels with a strong focus on meeting individual learning styles; supported by evaluations and/or references from former colleagues and supervisors.
2. Proven record of fostering a positive and productive learning environment within the classroom and in collaboration with parents and colleagues; documented through evaluations and/or references.
3. Successful recent experience teaching intermediate-grade students from culturally diverse backgrounds; supported by evaluations and/or professional references.
4. Training and/or practical experience with the Clear Math curriculum.
5. Training and/or practical experience with the CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts) Reading curriculum.
6. Demonstrated commitment to making student-centered decisions based on what is best for kids.
7. Strong ability to collaborate as part of a team on curriculum development grade-level planning RTI implementation and building-wide responsibilities.
8. Training and/or experience in effectively integrating technology into instruction to enhance student learning.
9. Experienced in administering and interpreting multiple assessment tools such as STAR SBA and a range of formal and informal classroom-based assessments to inform instruction and support student growth.
10. Collaborate with parents and other school staff to regularly assess and communicate individual student progress ensuring consistent support for academic and personal development.
11. Knowledge of and ability to apply Science of Reading-aligned instructional practices.
12. Experience utilizing the MTSS framework to support academic and behavioral student needs through data-driven decision-making.
13. Willingness to actively participate in PLC meetings.
14. Punctual and consistent attendance.

Job Description:

1. Work specifically to prepare students for Building and District and State assessments.

2. Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of the immediate supervisor.

3. Provide an effective program of instruction in accordance with the schools adopted curriculum materials by teaching each program with fidelity.

Physical Hazards:While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to work outdoors in a wide variety of temperatures; from -10 degrees F to 100 degrees F . The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in this work environment is moderate.

Application Procedure: In-District staffmust complete an internal online application by10:00 p.m. (PST) on or before the closing date.In-building/In-district staff will have eight school days or eight working days during the summer to apply for a vacant position through the online application system. The employee may choose but will not be required to meet with the building administrator to understand the building practices procedures and initiatives specific to the position to which they are applying. After eight days if an in-building employee is qualified for the position the principal will offer the employee the position. In the case that more than one in-building employee is interested in a position the position will be offered to the qualified and senior employee. If a position is not filled in-building after the eight-day period the position will be offered to the qualified most senior in-district applicant if any. Teachers with a summative evaluation score of 1 or 2 are not eligible to transfer unless agreed upon by the District and Association.
